The Huckaby Foundation
Established in 2023 by Jared and Elizabeth Huckaby, The Huckaby Foundation aims to provide unique housing options for individuals and families. From rent-free housing, reduced rental options and our annual home donation, our passion is to help those who qualify with one of the single most important things in life, a home. We will soon open our applications for 2025!

Huckaby Properties Partners with Printer's Ale to Introduce Thomaston, Georgia, to Its First Brewery
Revitalization efforts spearheaded by a local investment firm and brewery pioneer to bring natural gathering space to Downtown Thomaston.

Huckaby Properties, known for its dedication to downtown revitalization and historic preservation, has collaborated with Printer's Ale, an established brewery from Carrollton, Georgia, to unveil Thomaston's inaugural brewery. Located at 103 E Gordon St within the old Hometown Printers building, this venture promises to inject vibrancy into the town and provide a welcoming hub for community engagement.
At the forefront of Thomaston's downtown revitalization, Huckaby Properties, led by Jared and Elizabeth Huckaby, has joined forces with Printer's Ale, led by brewery owner Greg Smith, marking a significant milestone in the town's development trajectory.
"Partnering with Printer's Ale perfectly aligns with our vision for Thomaston," commented Jared Huckaby, co-owner of Huckaby Properties. "This venture not only introduces a novel gathering place for locals but also celebrates the town's rich heritage by repurposing an iconic building."
With Printer's Ale's expertise in crafting authentic, high-quality brews and Huckaby Properties' commitment to preserving downtown Thomaston's essence, this venture is poised to exemplify community spirit and heritage.
"We're thrilled to hear Printer's Ale's unique flavor will be coming to Thomaston," commented a local community member. "It's amazing to see that there is work being done to make use of our historic spaces and help make our town more interesting and fun."
The brewery and taproom, set to undergo renovations immediately, will encompass not only the brewing facilities but also a meticulously curated outdoor space. Plans include a complete overhaul of the parking lot and outdoor area, offering visitors an inviting ambiance to savor Printer's Ale's offerings in Thomaston's heart.
Anticipation is building as residents eagerly await the unveiling of this transformative project. Construction is slated to commence imminently, with the grand opening anticipated for Spring 2025.

Jared Huckaby Named to NSBA Leadership Council
Jared Huckaby, Huckaby Properties, was recently named to the National Small Business Association Leadership Council, according to an NSBA press release.
NSBA is the nation’s oldest small-business advocacy organization, and operates on a staunchly nonpartisan basis.
Huckaby, a recognized leader in the small-business community, joins the NSBA Leadership Council alongside other small-business advocates from across the country as they work to promote the interests of small business to policymakers in Washington, D.C.
“As a small-business owner, I see daily the importance of being involved and active when it comes to laws and regulation,” stated Huckaby. “Joining NSBA’s Leadership Council will enable me to take our collective small-business message to the people that need to hear it most: Congress.”
Huckaby was born and raised in Thomaston and alongside his wife, Elizabeth, has a broad range of small businesses that serve Georgia and clients around the world. His experience spans single and multi-family property rental, short-term rentals, historic preservation and restoration, restaurants, and retail stores, as well as companies in the technology sector.
Huckaby joined the NSBA Leadership Council as part of his efforts to tackle the many critical issues facing small business, including tax reform, regulatory restraint, health care costs, and how access to capital will impact small business.
The NSBA Leadership Council is focused on providing valuable networking between small-business advocates from across the country, while ensuring small business a seat at the table as Congress and regulators take up key small-business proposals.
